Written By: Lisa Williams on 7/25/1999 at 6:36 p.m.

I am looking for "Sounds of the Eighties" the Rolling Stone Collection for my boyfriends' birthday. Do you know where I can order the collection? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lisa

I ordered the collection from a TV commercial. Their usually on every once in a while. The collection is good, but I think Rhino sells better 80s compilations, like New Wave Hits and others. Cheers!

the collection you're looking for is at www.timelife.com.

I'm currently getting Time/Life's regular collection of "Sounds of the Eighties". I think I'm about half way done.

Lisa - I have seen "Sounds of the Eighties" advertised on the local FOX and WB stations, but if you are looking for new wave tunes, a better collection is Rhino Record's "New Wave Hits of the 80's - Just Can't Get Enough". It's a 15-CD compilation that can be purchased at any large music store or ordered. You don't have to get all 15, each is available separately. Hope this helps!
