Subject: Help me Identify '80s Superhero Show

Written By: Luvthe'80s on 8/14/2001 at 2:01 a.m.

I desparately want someone to help me identify the name of an '80s superhero show. When I was really young there was a show about this blonde haired guy in red tights and a cape that was always trying to learn to fly but he kept crashing into things. He got his red costume from this dead guy that beamed out of an alien spaceship. I really loved this show, but I haven't seen it since I was like 6 or 7 years old. I think it ran in the early or mid '80s. No one else I talk to remembers this show, and I've often wondered if I imagined it.

Any help would be appreciated.

The blonde haired guy was William Katt. I don't remember his show name.

The show is called the Greatest American Hero. The song is called Believe it or Not (I like it too!) His name on the show was Mr. H or Ralph Hinkley, as he played a high school teacher. He was teamed up with an FBI adjent Bill Maxwell (played by Robert Culp) and the beautiful lawyer (actress Connie Seleca). I have an episode or two on video. If you want copies of the show, I know some great links on the internet who will make copies for you. Hope I've been helpful to you.

Could you give out some links? I used to love this series. I would like to find copies of this show and a website if there are any.
