Subject: Beware Imposter Band!!
Ratt is going to be playing tomorrow night at a local watering hole called The Dock. My wife won tickets a couple of days ago and we were planning to attend the show, but I learned today that the band calling itself "Ratt" is Stephen Pearcy and a bunch of scrubs. No Warren DeMartini, no Bobby Blotzer... from what I was told, Blotzer and Demartini went one way and Pearcy another, but both are calling their bands Ratt. I don't think I'll be going to the show.
Anyway, if you see Ratt coming to town, check the band membership before going to the show.

Lester and/or Chris,
I know this is days later and off the subject, but have either one of you guys been to the Jackson Zoo? My family (wife, 2 preschool kids) will be coming through Jackson in a week on route to Monroe, LA(3-4 hours west on I-20) I grew up there and my best friend from high school is getting married the 18th. Anyway, on our return trip I was gonna stop in Vicksburg to see the Civil War Park and was considering stopping at the Jackson Zoo. The one in Monroe, as I remember from childhood is pretty small. Can either of you give me any info. Their website is down. Thanks a lot. You can e-mail me if you don't wanna take up messageboard space. Much appreciated!!!!
Subject: Jackson Zoo
I've been going to it ever since I was a kid, in fact, I went about 6 months ago. It's really nice, and they've been adding lots of new exhibits. Your kids should love it, it's pretty big, it even has a nice gift shop.
The ticket prices aren't too bad for a zoo, either, but the food inside costs a bit much. We brought our own lunch and ate at picnic tables next to the zoo.
Just one thing, the neighborhood that it's in isn't that great, but once you get within the outer fence, there are security people everywhere. All in all, it's really worth going to.

Are you referring to the Jackson, Mississippi Zoo? I live in Jackson, Mississippi. I haven't been to the Jackson Zoo in a while (maybe a year?).

That would be the one. I never realized there were so many people in my area who read this board.
