Subject: Favorite nostalgic radio shows
What is(are) your favorite '80s nostalgic radio shows currently on the air and why? My favorite is Absolutely 80s with Nina Blackwood because she plays a wider variety of songs and has behind-the-scenes details of MTV's early days.

My favorite 'nostalgia' radio show is "The Dr. Demento Show". They play a lot of wacky tunes. A lot of them are not that funny, but most of them are. I wonder if Dr. Demento is still on the air, because we don't get the show here in Indy anymore. I also like 80's Flashback, but don't care too much about Nina Blackwood. She is hotter now than she was on MTV. She's been on a lot of infomercials lately.

I enjoy the Classic American Top 40 with Casey Kasem. A local 80s radio station plays a broadcast of the original show for the week from back in the 80s, and it's wonderful. Last Sunday they aired the countdown from June, 1986. Every song played was a classic!

I suppose you're referring to American Top 40 Flashback. I don't really consider that a nostalgic radio show in that Casey doesn't talk about the 80s or have interviews with 80s artists. But since you brought it up, I do enjoy that one myself except for the fact that they are way too heavy into the mid-eighties and not heavy enough into the early eighties. 1985 gets played too many times and you hear the same songs you heard 3 weeks ago.
As far as last week's 1986 was concerned, I don't agree that every song was a classic, but the show did have it's fair share of them.
