Subject: Oh my God...Toni Basil!!
Okay, I just found out the weirdest thing. Toni Basil is 50???!!!!! I checked it up on www.cdnow.com, and it said that she was born in 1950. Isn't that weird? That means that she would've been 32 when she dressed up in that cheerleader outfit for the "Mickey" video. That's so strange because Toni Basil will always be remembered for now on as "the high school cheerleader" at 50. Ain't that weird? God, I guess the 80's were a long time ago.

Signorina Antonia Basilotta had a career well before "Mickey" and the "Word of Mouth" album. She was already working as a choreographer, some of her early work includes the choreography for David Bowie the film "American Grafitti".
I first saw the movie "Easy Rider" in the late 80s and I was so surprised to see Toni Basil in it (as the character Mary). I thought, "Wow! That's Toni Basil! This film is from 1969. How long has she been around??!!"
Wow, if she's 50 this year, that would have made her only 20 when she did that film.
Too bad she and Gerarld Casale of DEVO never married. They made such a cute couple.

Wow... I saw Toni recently on some VH1 special, and she looked positively radiant and wonderful for fifty...

She was one of the original Lockers...along with rerun aka penguin aka fred barry
