doing some work on a film and need to know what was hot for highschoolers in 1985. Must be a one piece swimsuit or shorts and a tank top , what for shoes and hair. Looking for beach options.

I was only 10 in 1985 but i remember two popular brands of footwear were Vans slipon shoes with the checkerboards and those slip-on kung fu style shoes that everyone was wearing. I have both still.

For guys birdwell beach britches were popular where I live, along with OP and Quiksilver. A lot of people wore them with half shirts and vans.

The good thing about the birdwell beach britches is you can get them new, and they haven't changed at all. (go to the link)

Don't know any of the name brands for the girls suits.........but for I always liked this one (but it is two piece):

Not sure what ever happened to Heather Thomas, I always liked her. Loved the Fall Guy! I wanted that picture, but never did buy it.
