Subject: For Those Of You Who Missed The Incredible News!!!
Simon Le Bon & Nick Rhodes announced the next phase of duran duran:
As many fans have speculated over recent months, a profound change has occurred at the heart of the band as the story of Duran Duran moves into a
new chapter. The trio of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes & Warren Cuccurullo is coming to an end; the upcoming Japanese dates will be their last together, after which Warren will be bound for America and a new project with his pre-Duran band, Missing Persons.
Simon & Nick are to be * REUNITED * with original band members Roger, Andy and John Taylor for the first time in 15 years.
"It's something we are very much looking forward to. There has always been an incredible chemistry and musical energy when we have got together. We are all very excited about the prospect of seeing what we can create."
An album will be scheduled for release some time in 2002 [posted 5/10/2001]

Subject: Don't You Just Hate It When...
Don't you just hate it when a band keeps changing members? It's not really the same band once the membership changes. I mean, look at this group going around calling itself "Journey". It's not really Journey without Steve Perry!

You're right, it isn't the same band once the membership changes. However, that isn't always a death knell. Look at bands like the Doobie Brothers, Genisis, and Black Sabbath. They existed in a seemingly constant state of flux, yet still managed to continue producing good music. Sometimes change ruins a group, but once in a while it works out okay.

I agree to a certain degree.
But anyway, THAT is what makes this particular news especially exciting - this band is rectifying this "membership" issue by finally reuniting all of its Original members!
Oh, and too bad about the Journey thing. I do agree to a great degree that Steve Perry was essential to the group.
