I am looking for the movie that the following quote belongs to. I can see the movie in my head. It has xmas music in the background and an older man is on the phone with the police and it says.... "He is wearing a red argyle sweater, tan pants, and red shoes...huh...no he's not retarded" If anyone knows what movie this is from.... PLEASE email me. THANKS

That's from Sixteen Candles, but there was no Christmas music in the background, they were on their way to a wedding.

f course this is from the John Hughes film "Sixteen Candles". 1983 or 1984. Samantha (Molly Ringwald) let the "wierd" chinese exchange student named Long Duck Dong go to a party with grandpa's car. Intoxicated, he passed out on the front lawn and grandpa thought he was missing. "Atomobile........"
