Subject: help on an 80's TV show
Ok, i would like to find out the name of this TV show that i can't think of the name of.
It was about a teenage girl, blonde hair... She lived with her mom. Her dad was an alien and she talked to him by using this diamond shaped box looking thing that stood on her night stand. She could also freeze time by taking her two index fingers and putting them together.
I can remember parts of the theme song and goes a little something like this:
"would you like to swing on a star, whoah whoah whoah"
That's all i can remember. I want to say the girl's name was Eve, but i'm not quite sure. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated!

Subject: I WAS WRONG! So Sue Me.
I was wrong. I got mixed up and didn't realize it until after I had posted it. IT WAS NOT "STARMAN"! In "Starman" the alien had a son,not a daughter. And the title referred to the alien,not the offspring. I just got mixed up,okay?! Anyway,I remember a lot of sci-fi themed 80's shows ("The Powers Of Matthew Star","ALF",etc.) but I have never seen a show like the one you described.

The correct name of the show you're thinking of is "Out Of This World". Donna Pescow (Saturday Night Fever and "Angie" TV show fame) played Eve's mom.
Remeber where Eve and her friends hung out at? It was called The Goodie Goodie.
