What was the first album/tape you EVER bought? (CD for you young-ins)
The first album (vinyl to you kids) that I had to have was: Steve Martin-Wild and crazy guy. (I bought it for that King Tutt song) I still remember the whole thing by heart.

I got a record player for christmas when I was around 9 or 10 ('79 or '80) and got the soundtrack for Walt Disney's The Jungle Book with it. I seem to remember swiping my brother's Flash Gordon soundtrack(IMO some of Queen's best work) often and listening more to it. The first record I bought with my own money was a 45; The Devil Went Down to Georgia. The first cassette was Ratt's Out of the Cellar and my first cd was a Heart single. I think it was Stranded.

My parents bought me a lot of childrens' records when I was a kid. I think the first album I purchased on my own was Blondie's "Parallel Lines".
