The group is Balance & the song("Breaking Away") went to #22 in the fall of '81. They had a follow-up called, "Falling In Love" which hit #58 in the winter of '82. Both songs come from their self-titled debut album. They released a second album called "In For The Count" that same year. It wasn't a hit probably because it was too much hard rock & not enough commerical appeal. But; good news for you, both CDs are available in one whole CD itself. You can find it either at a record store or go to Renaissance records @ www.renaissancecds.com to order it. BTW, I loved both of songs especially "Falling In Love" a ballad that's now a forgotten song.
