I remember watching that show in the late 80s to early 90s (when I was cramming for tests on the weekends). It aired (in L.A.) on channel 56 (KDOC), an Orange County network, at the ungodly hours of 1:30 a.m. and would go for an hour or two. They had all sorts of bizarre music videos, interviews, cartoons (I remember "Jack Mac and Rad Boy"), and "Street Fighter" (parody dubs of Chinese kung-fu films), etc. Holy cow, someone else actually remembers that show.

Hey, TB, do you remember the old Night Tracks that used to come on TBS? Similar to Night Flight, but I believe Tracks appeared first - aound 82 or 83.

...the entire place didn't have cable TV until like late 85. I used to watch the Night Flight show on regular TV later on and into the early to mid 90s. Channel 56 (can be seen in LA and Orange County) has a lot of old shows airing nowadays like Airwolf, 21 Jumpstreet, and Knight Rider among others in the afternoon. The only other show I recollect watching (up until about a year or two ago) is Friday Night videos. And, recently, Channel 56 (them again) has been leasing time to a group of people, associated with Tower Records (?), that produce music video shows (about 30 mins to an hour in length) of today's music (lots of Punk, Techno, Pop/Rock, and other Top 40 stuff of today). It's quite good since it does give exposure to bands who don't get a lot airplay and TV time.

: ago!! >>>>>>>>> Actually, I remember watching Night Flight when it first was on cable TV back in the EARLY 80s..It was on before Night Tracks and aired originally on the USA Network. Night Flight aired so many cool and unusal videos that even MTV wouldnt touch in the early 80s. It also featured a 1/2 hour program called "New Wave Theatre" which had live performances by new wave and punk bands and record countdowns..much like American Bandstand..but for the wilder crowd.. Also movies such as "Urgh! A Music War" were sometimes shown. I am very lucky that I taped many of these episodes when they aired. I still have them and when I feel that 80s nostalgia hit (which is VERY often!) I pop those videos in and watch like it was just yesterday (I even left the original commercials in there!)
