Subject: Attn. DirecTV Customers

This month DTV is airing a free Journey concert taped last December - nearly an hour and a half of music. Of course it's Steve Augeri on vocals, but I'm going to check it out anyway. Link provides details.

this was a GREAT show. the DirecTV show was recorded in Vegas, I saw them the next night (New Year's Eve) in Phoenix. they ROCKED. and, as Deen said in Journey's Behind The Music, when you see/hear Augeri, you'll think it's "Steve Perry with a perm!"

btw, their new CD "Arrival" is released today (4/3).

I think it's natural to "dislike" the new guy in the band when the new guy is replacing the lead singer, because that's usually where a big part of the "sound" of the band comes from. I know I didn't like Brian Johnson's vocals for AC/DC at first. However, the little I heard of Augeri on BTM was very Perryesque. I'm going to listen with an open mind.
