Not sure if this is correct, but I'm thinking song #2 may be "Our Love is Insane" by Desmond Child and Rouge, a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Winter of '79. Child, of course, went on to become a prolific producer and songwriter, but I believe that particular song actually featured female vocals. Oh well, the song title seems to fit the lyrics you quoted, anyway...

The first one is called "Superstitous Feeling" by Harlequin (a Canadian band). The second one sounds so familiar and it's on the tip of my tongue, just can't think of it right now. Maybe someone else will think of it first. If it comes to me, I'll post it for ya!
