Written By: Steve on 3/9/2001 at 10:49 p.m.

Does anyone know the name or who sang that song in Three Men and a Baby:

"Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go"
Thanks for your help!

i believe it's "Goodnight Sweetheart". all i know for sure is that Sha Na Na used to end their TV show with that every week. so it's most likely a 50's hit. might be on a Sha Na Na album. i think Huey Lewis & The News also did it in concert, so they may have also recorded it.

that's the best i can do. >;-P

As far as I know, The Platters never recorded "Goodnight Sweetheart" and Sha Na Na and Huey Lewis & The News were certainly not the original recording artists. I believe it may be the Del-Tones but I am not positive. I know of someone I can ask, so I will definitely post the correct answer as soon as I find out.

I'm not certain if the Platters were the original artists but this is my source (below, there's also a sound clip):

Actually, it was recorded by the Spaniels. It's featured on the soundtrack of "American Graffiti"
with lots of other great songs from the 50's and 60's.
