Subject: Perfect day
I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the song I used to enjoy back in 1982 or 83.
I have not heard it in years and would like to find a copy. The lyrics were sung by a female singer and the chores went: "Oh what a perfect day, a day like any other day". Also, it was a fairly mellow song. Any help would be appreciated.

Could you be thinking about "Perfect Day" by The The?

BINGO! Not a female singer but it was many years since I last heard it on an alternative station in Detroit back in 83.
I just downloaded it off Napster and it sure is bringing back memories of summer '83. I did not know THE THE was around that long ago.... I actually own their album "Mind Bombs".
Man, try finding 'The The' music on Napster. Their name wreaks havoc on searches.
