Technically, Iris wasn't a one hit wonder. "Love Is Like A Rock" was also a top 40 hit a year or so after "Ah! Leah!", and there was another song off the same album that was a moderate hit also. Can't remember the name of it just now, which tells you just how moderate a hit it was

That "other song" you're thinking of was "My Girl". Indeed, Iris has had enough hits to warrant a "Greatest Hits" collection, yet sadly, one has yet to be released anywhere in the world. In fact, he's still around today, releasing new albums, and playing live gigs around his native Pittsburgh. I have most of his albums; awesome stuff! His 1983 hit, "Do You Compute?", is my personal fave. Also, don't forget the '80s group Cellarful of Noise, for whom Iris sang lead vocals on their second album. Somebody else here on this board recently recalled their 1988 hit, "Samantha (What You Gonna Do?)"...

Donnie Iris was also a member of the group The Jaggerz that had that big hit in early 1970, "The Rapper" (and no, there was no such thing as rap music in 1970).

Yep, I have that album ("We Went to Different Schools Together") on both cassette and 8-track! Still hear "The Rapper" on the radio fairly often...
