there was a song sang by orange juice jones, called ( i saw you and him walking in the rain)there was a response to that song sung by a female artist, i remember her saying something in the song about if you wanna be with me you gotta get a J. It is "Thunder and Lightning" by Miss Thang.

Coincidently, there is another song with that line from the 80's - "Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent" by Gwen Guthrie. Not a response to Oran "Juice" Jones' track.
