Subject: American tv show??
can anyoue help??
I want to know the name of the Show in the 80s.
All I remember is it involved a private investigator/ cop/ bounty hunter, who had a car that was made from light (or computer generated) that could go round corners at right-angles!!
(Useful for escaping pursuing cop cars!)
That's all i can remember, sorry, but it does my head in!!
Please help!

I used to love Automan! Of course it didn't last very long. All I really remember, like everyone else, is those 90 degree turns. Yeah, it was Desi Arnaz Jr. The guy who played Automan, I can't remember his name right now, Chuck something, I think, does insurance commercials now, and believe it or not, I saw him in a touring company as the lead in "Jekyll & Hyde - The Musical" about a year ago.
80's Forever!

I remember this show, it came out after the movie Tron. Some video game programmer had the hero from his latest game come to life and it had a round thing that helped it just like Tron's cursor. The programmer and the character fought crime together.
The car made perfect ninety degree turns and caused the programmer to get slammed up against the window. I don't remember one single episode, though. I only remember the cornering and the hero explaining that he couldn't turn any other way because "you programmed me to be perfect."
I think it was called Automan.

No way, man! You guys remember that show? Yeah, it was called Automan in Spanish and I remember that the computer-generated guy had a strange-looking body that looked like television "fuzz" and only his face looked human. The cursor would build him a car and, sometimes, a helicopter. I remember those 90 degree right turns...

I believe Automan's human friend was Desi Arnaz, Jr. His character's name was Walter, I think.
Automan would only fight crime at night because people would use most electricity during the day.
Automan's computer companion, that would create the car, helicopter, etc. was named Cursor.

I'm pretty sure that it was called something else entirely in England? But we are all talking about the same thing!
