does anyone remember a show from the 80's about a man and his son that were time travelers. I remember the man was a white man with curly brown hair, and he wore a brown vest. I believe there were toys made from the show, it was a live action show that usually came on in the evenings.The guy was also an actor from a while back.

Do you mean Voyagers with Jon-Erik Hexum? They were not father and son though.
He was the guy who shot himself (on the set of "Cover Up") in the head with a blank gun and died.
