Subject: Settling a Bet
My husband and I have a bet going about who sang a particularly horrid 80s song. Here are the lyrics:
We don't have to take our clothes off
to have a good time.
It then goes on to sing about drinking cherry wine and more. So who sang this song?
Thanks.

Hi there,
The song is called "We don't ahve to take our clothes off" and was sung by Jermaine Stewart. It was a big hit in the UK in 1986. He was a former member of the band "Shalamar" who had early 80s hits with "I can make you feel good", "A night to remember" etc etc
Hope you won the bet

Yes, the song in question was indeed by Jermaine Stewart (I personally prefer his first hit, "The Word is Out"); however, he was NEVER a member of Shalamar! (Huge Shalamar fan, too.) I believe you have him confused w/ someone else...
