Subject: An Underrated and forgotten group from the 80's
Hi!!
I think your website is great! I think the music from the 80's was indeed the best. I just wanted to comment that there is a group from the 80's that should be mentioned in your website.
This group has always been underrated and never considered. Their album "Starfish" is in my opinion onw of the best of the 80's and sadly nobody has ever paid any attention to it. The group is The Church and if you want to hear some of the best music from the 80's you should buy this album, and the rest of their albums.

I partially agree with you, although The Church is
featured in TONS of 80's compilations and has the vast majority of their albums still in print. Two of their songs can still be heard in "flashback" hours and weekends ("Under The Milky Way," and, sometimes, "The Unguarded Moment").
Other artists which I consider even more underrated are Falco (singing in German), Marshall Crenshaw (who is NEVER played on the radio), Bauhaus (another band that is NEVER played on the radio), The Smiths (try finding a radio station that will play something other than "How Soon Is Now?"), Alphaville (I don't even hear "Forever Young" anymore...). I hear and see more from The Church than I would do from any of the above.
I like The Church, though, and own their "Best Of..." compilation and the Starfish album...
