Subject: Remember Me??
I'm in the process of writing a screenplay for an 80s flashback type movie. Lord knows if and when it will ever get made, but here's the general concept: 2 kids are sucked into an old 80s sitcom thru a secret portal in their parent's entertainment center. Once they arrive in the sitcom, they have 24 hours to decide whether or not to stay back and live in the 80s OR go back home to the 21st Century and live in the here and now and embrace what their futures may have in store. It's VERY abstract! Think "Pleasantville" meets "The Twilight Zone". I will post ot on my website (which used to be an 80s fashion shrine). The reason I took it down is because of several things: 1.) I do not wish to be viewed as a "Baby Jane Hudson" type, who is still wearing the same old fashions she wore in her childhood. 2.) After I attended this summers' Go-Go's concert and dressed 80s from head to toe, I really got it out of my system; 3.) I was too busy with work and school to really keep and maintain it; 4.) I want to live in the here and now.
I still love anything and everything 80s, which is why I'm in the process of writing this story. It will definately be treat for anyone who loves 80s nostalgia/sci-fi. Peace!

But your screenplay idea sounds great too...Ill check your site for that..(I wanna be in your movie!) Oh and even if you dont dress 80s as often anymore...dont ever get rid of your stuff! Every now and then I have the feeling that youre gonna want to slip into something 80s for the fun of it again! Take care and keep in touch!

I think your screenplay idea sounds awesome. Actually, the first thing that came to my mind was Pleasantville, but I think your movie will be much more entertaining. Sounds like a good idea!
