Subject: 1987
I would appreciate any info I can get about the year 1987, my daughter is doing a major school project on the year she was born(1987). so any factual info would be great--- fashions, music movies earnings etc. or web sites where I might find the info. Thanks, Arlene

Cutting Crew came out with their one-hit wonder single: "(I Just Died) In Your Arms." Pretty good song found in many compilations and even advertised nowadys.

the Stock Market crashed on Oct19,1987. As for the Cutting Crew song, that wasn't their only hit. They score 2 more hits in '87. "One For The Mockingbird" #38 in the summer of '87. and "I've Been In Love Before" #9 hit in the fall of '87.

Oh, yeah...Forgot 'bout those; yikes. Didn't The Smiths break up in 1987? Depeche Mode released their album Music For The Masses spawning such hits as: "Never Let Me Down," "Strangelove," "Pimpf," "Behind The Wheel," "Little 15," and "Route 66" (a cover song).
