going to be visiting montreal for a few days, wondering if anyone out there could point out a few clubs. Looking for something wtih a good mix [80's, dance, alternative], maybe mroe than one floor?

There's a club downtown on Stanley St called the Sphinx, they feature Techno on Thursdays, 80s music on Fridays, a mix on Saturdays, and Gothic/Industrial on Sundays. They have their own web site.

This is not related to your query, but, if you get tired of music and want comedy, go to Comedyworks & Jimbo's Pub on Bishop St (between Ste Catherine and René Lévesque). It's the home of the On the Spot Players who just won the improv contest at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montréal. They're amazing to watch.
