Did you know they're making a live action movie based on the game? It should be in theatres in 2001 or 2002. Fox even brought the "Dungeons and Dragons" cartoon from the 80s back on Saturday mornings to promote the movie.

I didn't know about the live action movie, but I have seen the cartoon on Fox a few times. Brings back some memories. Remember Dirk the Daring? LOL!!

ooh.. didn't know that. I used to love that cartoon.. certainly beat the Popples (I watched some of those the other day, why in the world did I ever watch THAT one?)
I used to play a little in the 80s, but my friends found Call of Cthulu to be far more fun

We tried Cthulu, Traveller and just about any other RPG that came on the market, but we liked AD&D the best. My excuse is that I was (still am!!) heavily into fantasy, so the genre fit.
