*** Roland made then. As did Yamaha and Korg. But the most popular and easily recognizable were the Roland maodels. First the AX-1 and later the Axis. You can find them every now and then on Ebay, or on Harmony Central. You're looking at between 4-550 dollars, depending on condition. There are less expensive versions, but they were not as study or have as many features. Good luck!
