who the top grossing band/singer of the 80's is. Everyone thinks it's

OK, I go w/ the first instinct, and most would probubly not even think of this 'genre', but 80's, maybe even 70's & 90's....if you added up TOTAL revenues/grosses/money in general, I'd say (STILL- even I don't see the attraction, but its there!) Wayne Newton!

I remember when 1990 rolled around they did a list on Mtv about the most successful bands of the 80s. Given that list, your friends would be wrong... Huey Lewis and the News topped the list.
