I AM LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR EPISODE OF THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW . HE HAD A GUEST ON HIS SHOW THAT RECITE A POEM ABOUT GIRL FRIENDS. THE POEM WAS ABOUT HOW DIFFERENT EACH OF YOUR FRIENDS ARE IN YOUR LIFE. THE LADY THAT RECITE THE POEM WAS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN. I WAS HOPING THAT YOU COULD GET THE NAME OF THE AUTHOR OF THE POEM AND THE POEM ITSELF.

The only Afican-American woman to recite poetry on TV that I know of, is Maya Angelou. She's also done poetry in commercials. I am not sure she's indeed the author you're looking for, but definitely a GOOD possibility! Check it out. Good Luck.
