Subject: 80's concerts
I saw so many concerts in the mid to late 80's (more than the last decade combined). I think my favorite 80's concerts were Def Leppard (4 times) and Bon Jovi (3 times).
What were everyone else's favorites? Lamest concert?
Subject: Re: 80's concerts
I remember seeing Motley Crue twice, Metallica twice, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Night Ranger, and Joe Walsh. I may have seen others but I've got that "old" thing going on as well!

Well, I saw Duran Duran in 1983 (I think it was 83), of course that was my favorite :o) I also saw Def Leppard in 1987 (?), Aerosmith in 1987 or 88, that was an awesome concert. Steve Tyler really puts on a great show! The lamest would have to be the Monsters of Rock concert at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. I think that was 1988. Not that the bands were lame, but there was so much partying going on and so many drugs! By early evening, people had started to trash the stadium by setting fires and literally kicking the bolted down seats out of the concrete floors! I didn't get to enjoy the concert at all. I guess I was too busy making sure I didn't get injured in all the madness LOL

I was too young to see any concerts in the 80s, but I wanted to let you know that I am soooooooooooooo jealous that you guys got to see Def Leppard!!!!!
I did get to see Ted Nugent and Skid Row now, and they're 80s bands. Does that count?

Ok, rub it in that you're younger! LOL
I too have seen Ted Nugent, but that wasn't until the 90's. So no, I guess that doesn't count. If it did, I might as well add Kix (twice), Great White, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Stevie Ray Vaughan (oh wait, that one was in the 80's too!), Childs Play, Bad Company, Metallica, and Cinderella (I think that was in the 80's too). I'm sure I've seen a few more, but can't remember off hand (It's that being older thing LOL).

The only ones I saw in the mid/late 80's was Rush. But I DID see Journey and Glass Tiger in 86 or 87. It was pretty bad. Glass Tiegr had that one hit and not much else and Steve Smith and Ross Vallory had left Journey by then so it wasn't the "real" deal. Walked out 3/4 of the way through the Journey set. Peace gang!
