Subject: Help!!!

Written By: Wicked Lester on 6/16/2000 at 10:26 p.m.

Okay, this must have been about 1983 or so... the song is called A Fine, Fine Day (at least I think that's right... lyric: "It's a fine, fine day for a reunion"). A hundred bucks in Monopoly money to the first person who can tell me who the artist is. I've been bugged by this for a week or so, and have finally decided to ask for help. I think his name was Corey something, but that could be wrong.

I remember that song, had to look up the singer though. It is "Fine, Fine Day" by Tony Carey off his 1984 album Some Tough City.

Thanks a bunch, TX! Tony *Carey*... that's why I was thinking Corey. Didn't he have another minor hit at about the same time?

Killer album - bought it on cassette back when it first came out in the Winter of '84, and still listen to it fairly often. The other hit from "Some Tough City" was called "The First Day of Summer" - appropriate for this coming Wednesday, LOL! And no, he's not related to that tired, overplayed "diva" from the '90s... :-)
