Subject: Catherine Mouchet
It is as if I were awakening from a long sleep to ask a question... Since 1986, I have been under the spell of a work of cinematic genious and acting that has fallen into relative obscurity. That work is a French film titled Terese, starring Catherine Mouchet. The sensation of watching this film is akin to the film Andrei Rublev in that you know you are not watching historical documentary but, rather, the essence of historical reality that can only be embodied in the highest art.
The movie is nothing without the actor Mouchet. Where can I find more information about her work, her life, whatever can give me insight into her ability to embody and project the highest form of beauty? You have my gratitude for your assistance.
