Subject: GO-GO's, B-52's, Psych Furs on Tour this Summer !
In case any Go-Go's, B's, or Psych Furs fans haven't heard:
The Go-Go's and The B-52's are co-headlining a tour this summer. Their special guests will be the Psychedelic Furs. Check the Go-Go's website for dates. www.gogos.com
This tour will see the Go-Go's including the East Coast as well as the Midwest (areas that were not on their reunion tour of last year). They will, of course be playing a bunch of dates on the West Coast and in the South West.
The Psychedelic Furs will consist of the Richard Butler, Tim Butler, and John Ashton, along with Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer (both from Richard Butler's new band Love Spit Love). This is pretty neat, since Richard Butler recently declared the Psychedelic Furs to be history when he formed Love Spit Love. This may be the last time the Butlers and Ashton will tour as the Furs. This is THE event of the summer for me! The Go-Go's and The B-52's are my 2 favorite bands in the world! I saw and met the B52s back in the summer of '98, and last summer I was front and center at the Go-Go's concert (although I didn't get to meet them :( darn it!) They ROCKED! I will be there this year in full 80s newwave gear!
