Subject: A band named Data

Written By: Galo on 6/20/1999 at 9:44 p.m.

Hello: At some point in the mid 80's I had in my posession a cassette by a band named Data. The band had a female lead singer. I believe that the album was named "Beautiful Machine" or "Pretty Machine" or something like that. One of the songs on it was called "Stop". If anyone has any info on this band or where I could find this album (cassette) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Also check out www.algonet.se/~eternity, they have available a "best of" from DATA. What a great CD! I too had a copy (record) of Elegant Machinery and just a few months ago yearned for some DATA (of course, no where to be found). I ordered the Best of (called Accumulator) and love it! 21 tracks! Good luck!
