Subject: Early 80's song with stereo helicopter
What was the name of that song form the early 80's that had the helicopter sound jumping between the left and right channel, as well as to the front and back if you litened close enough. I think there are two with a similar sound effect but I am blanking on both. Thanks for any thoughts. CTH

The song in question is most likely "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova. The only other song that I can recall with such stereophonic qualities would be a alternate version of "The End" by the Doors, which included sound effects from the movie "Apocalypse Now", but I believe that to be from the late 70's. It can be found on The Doors Greatest Hits cd.

Aldo Nova's "Fantasy" has a helicopter in the beginning also.
