Subject: 2 Funny Halloween Movies
Hello all -
With Halloween fast aproaching, I just wanted to let everyone know about 2 halloween movies from the 80's that are absolutely hilarious, and that I look forward to watching every year.
The first one is called "Student Bodies." This was a low budget movie from the early 80's with an unknown cast. The thing that makes this movie hilarious is that it is a parody of the horror movie genre, much in the same spirit as the "Airplane" and "Naked Gun" series. A must see.
The second one is called "The Hollywood Knights." This is a movie that takes place in So Cal in the mid 60's, and has to do with the initiation and pranks that pledges are put through on Halloween night in order to join a car club. This movie is from 1980 or 1981, and features the first appearances by such stars as Tony Danza, Michelle Pfiefer, Fran Drescher, and Robert Wuhr. An absolute must-see.
Both of these movies can be somewhat difficult to find at many video stores, but I believe that the Family Video chain carries them. They are also usually broadcast on some cable tv channels at this time of the year, so check your listings; you won't be disappointed.

I havent seen the horror flick but I have seen "The Hollywood Nights" that movie is so funny. Definitely deserves recognition in my book. To me it is a classic like Caddyshack and Blues Brothers.
I am giving it a second recommendation (if you can find it) Rent it and watch it.

I also recommend Saturday the 14th, which is a campy spoof of the Friday the 13th movies that came out throughout the 80s, with things such as a coat closet with coats that eat people and such. I haven't seen it in ages, and I doubt it's available on video, but you never know.
