The name "Square One" does sound familiar, was it a show like "3...2...1... Contact"??? Also, how many of you out there remember the "ZOOM" kids from PBS.. or "Electric Company" or "Mulligan's Stew"... These were some great early '80's programmes for kids....

Well...now that I'm tempted to list the shows I used to watch as a kid (all of course on PBS)...

"Sesame Street" -- how can you not love this show? It's fantastic...plus, I loved Elmo!!! I also loved Mr. Snuffleufagus (sp?)...what was especially cool about that show was that there were Latinos on it, which was really great because up till that point I hadn't seen anyone on TV who looked like me. :)
"Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" -- Mr. Rogers was my hero. I wanted to be his neighbor sooo bad, and was intrigued to find out that he was a Presbyterian minister (when I read a late-'80s article about him).
"3-2-1 Contact" -- "Contact is the reason, is the knowledge/For everything out there there's contact/Let's make contact/3-2-1 CONTACT!" I LOOOOVED that show...LOOOOOVED it with a PASSION.
"Voyage of the MIMI" -- Who'd thought that that cute little kid would grow up to be _the_ Ben Affleck? Back then I thought he'd be a great friend to pedal down the street with...now...um...*giggle* :)
"Square One" -- of course, see that message I left below for more 411. My favorite part was the PacMan-like game simulation. It was way cool. Oh, and that takeoff on "Max Headroom", too.

I also watched reruns of "The Addams Family" and "The Munsters" on TBS afternoons (when they used to do them), AND had a curious fascination with the Weather Channel. This is not counting, of course, the other shows I used to watch all the time...especially those telecourses PBS produced during the '80s. I loved those because they were always interesting to me.

Now noticing how much of a TV junkie she once was (yet she never ever watched cartoons or Nickelodeon),

Diane
