I just remembered that the song is titled "The Beat Goes On", but it seems like it is always played back-to-back with "Switching To Glide."

Muncie, IN? I was near there today. The song in question is "Switching To Glide" by The Kings. I believe this was from the late 70's. The band stated that they were going to be bigger than the Beatles, but they only had 1 or 2 hits.
