Subject: NIN = Option30?
I got a CD from an independant label in the mail this weekend called Option30, I read about it in CMJ a couple months back. What it is, is the first band Trent Reznor was in, during 1983-1984. It's got a little bit of interview, and Trent's early takes on Der Komissar and "Lies" by the Thompson Twins. It's a riot to listen to if you're a Reznor fan, and a riot to here his take on eighties music at that time. Though, he does do a cover of Adam Ant's "Physical" on NIN's "Broken" which is fun too...
I recomend checking it out if you get a kick out of NIN, some of it is a little lo-fi, but for the most part it's a pretty good recording.
