I am sick of all this grunge crap clogging up the world nowadays. I mean, C'MON! It's been with us since 1991 and it's still with us. And the lifestyle. Everyone is pretending to be "junkies" and dress down looking like they've been in a trashcan fight. Whatever happened to good, clean fun? The 80s bands ruled and actually had TALENT (Poison, Crue, Warrant), the 90s bands are just tuneless noise. How can one "grunge" lifestyle be so MAINSTREAM? Just look at the TV shows (Friends) and the movies (Godzilla). Thank god for "The Wedding Singer". Well it's about time we did something about it NOW!!! BRING THE 80s BACK IN FULL FORCE!!!

i agree too! most people think i'm nuts (mostly my friends...) because i'm a teen of the 90's but for some reason i don't like 90's music....i love stuff from the 80's....

I think 90's music sucks because it's mostly gang related especially rap music. I,m an 80's fan.
I heard the 80's didn't have hardly any teen gangs
like the 90's have. I think it's total chaos to wear baggie crotch long pants and havcing bleached hair and wearing the ear rings in different spots. Chumbawumba looked like punks and
REO speedwagon were more normal and didn't sing anything with the word chink or nigger. I think
90's singers need to be or act good like Bob Seger, not acting dark,prejudice, and violent.
In 1981, My mom's younger brother and 3 younger sisters didn't act get into any gang fights or get
in trouble as teenagers. thats because it was 1981
and there was no gang stuff at the time. they liked REO speedwagon and Gary Numan. Rap music is nothing but sick and dirty brain washing music
that shouldn't be okay anywhere. 2,000 teenagers play it super loud in someones property just to
be cool but acting like ass holes. I'm not that way because 80's music calms me down from being a
90's punk or gang member. My brother kind of frced into hearing rap but I ignored it. 90's
music is usually dirty and 80's music is clean

Note to 90's teens who don't like 80's music: You're listening to it. Ask Puff Daddy. Ask Will Smith. Ask Nikki French. etc. etc. ad nauseam. If people are going to do remakes and oversample on their so called current music, at least do it with some talent and integrity. (Sorry, Will Smith, but I liked you better when you were the Fresh Prince.)

Many of my friends are X-ers and give me the arguement "Turn off that old crap, I can't stand it." and I usually come back with that response. I was really only giving you a suggestion for your friends who might say the same thing. It is always good to hear from a fellow eighties fan. Forgive me?

hmm....let me think.......no.......j/k...it's okay, i wasn't really offended .....i forgive you.....there,happy? hehehe......most of my friendsdon't listen to the same stuff that i do either...but then again, they're not that rude!...they'll only give me that funny look as if to say (you're strange....) everyone writing in my yearbook mentioned in one way or another my obsession with 80's music....heehee...one of them actually wrote " keep the 80's alive!".....

Agreed. Everytime i go to a record store, I surprise myself looking at cd's from Police, Prince, Supertramp, Dire Straits, Springsteen, even though I have all this material, I look at the cover and this music reminds me a very good years, what the hell are they doing with that nastyu covers from 80's music!!
I'll do an exception: Lenny Kravitz and Depeche Mode.
