Subject: Ponderous??
In the late 80's or early 90's, I listened to a radio show on weekends that played a song which was popular at the time, but I never caught the name of the artist.
It was sort of a joke song and here are a few lines that I remember, all of which were spoken:
"I was walking one day......"
"...And the shoes squeaked"
"This is ponderous man, really ponderous."

The only thing that I can think of is "Wet Dreams." I don't know the artist. This was probably about 1988. Was it on the Dr Demento show?

I have been wracking my brain trying to think of it. I not sure if it was "Wet Dreams" or not, since I've only heard that about 3 times, and it could have been around 1990-91 at the latest. Did the guy speaking the lyrics have sort of a nasal British accent and mention something about talking to some fish (a mackeral)? If so, than it was "Wet Dreams," but I never knew the artist.

I have This is Ponderous on a cassingle that I bought in the late 80s I think. I have to look for it at my parents house and then I will report back as to who sings (or SAYS) it.
