Subject: the famous five

hey I'm 25 so this may not be an eighties thing but I remember watching it in the early eighties when I was about seven or eight.It was a show form I believe the UK called the fabulous five,it was a children's dective show like nacy drew or the hardy boys.Does anyone know what I'm talkng about,What I'm lokking for is a web site on this old program I found one on a new sidnicate but I'm looking for info on the old show.

I can't believe I know this. It's almost embarrassing... The Famous Five was a UK show based on a series of books by Enid Blyton I believe (could be wrong about that). It was the story of four cousins (Julian, Dick, Ann and George (a girl)) and their dog Timmy who danced about the countryside solving strange mysteries. Yuck! I don't believe I know all of that. The Comic Strip people (Adrian Edmonson, Rik Mayall, Jen Saunders et. al. who later did the Young Ones) did an excellent parody of this show called "Five Go Mad In Dorset." Someone please shoot me before it's too late....
