I just got Version 2.0 and am struck by how much it sounds like classic Pretenders. Even the song Special repeats the line "You're The Talk Of The Town". Just an observance.

yeah, I was too, someone sent me a list of references in the album to 80s groups (there were Blondie ones too) check out the link...

I think that's the point of this album, to sound like 80s songs. And Garbage doesn't deny it like some other bands do. It's just the lack of orginality that's getting to me these days.
