Subject: Help me please
I have been trying to find out the name of a song. I have no idea who sang it. It deals with the USA being invaded by a foreign power. The lyrics include something like this: "swear alliegence to the flag, whatever flag they offer." & "you can trust us, we're with the high command." If you know what this song is, please contact me before I go criminally insane and do postal routine at the nearest circle-K Thanks. As soon as the rush is over I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I've worked for it. I owe it to myself. And NOBODY is going to deprive me of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The song is "Silent Running" by Mike + The Mechanics. The lead singer is Paul Carrack, formerly of Squeeze.

It sounds to me more like Genesis' (or Phil Collins if he was on his own at this point) "Can You Hear Me (Running)?"

It sounds like Genesis because Mike Rutherford from Genesis is the "Mike" namesake in Mike + The Mechanics.
