Subject: Anita baker

This is a fuzzy memory that I want to check out. In the early 70's I visited Detroit a lot and at one of the clubs there was a group called Chapter 8 that featured a singer named Anita Baker. I think they produced one album as Chapter 8. Am I right or just suffering from fuzzy memory syndrome?

busy day for my collection of books here... ok, according to the Virgin Encyclopedia of music, she joined Chapter 8 in 1979 and they had one minor hit, "I Just Wanna Be Your Girl" in 1980, she left a couple of years later for her first debut album in 1983.
