Subject: What did ya'll think of Bruce Willis' singing?
Here's a time period in the 80's I don't think you could forget if you tried! On 1/17/87 Bruce Willis' version of "Respect Yourself" went to #5 on the Billboards Top Pop Singles charts. Also, the music video is one of those you just have to watch because it's soo bad it's good! ;D

Bruce Willis had a couple of hits. 'Respect yourself' was not as great as the Kane Gang classic but I thought his cover of 'Under the broadwalk' was alright.

He was a pretty good singer next to Jack Wagner's All I Need in 1986 but why was he called Bruno?

Don't know exactly. It did become a nickname for him. I also read somewhere: Bruce Willis stars in this "mockumentary" tracing the rise of Bruno Radolini, a ficticious unsung hero of rock 'n' roll. 8)

Nope. His character was David Addison, a detective for Blue Moon Detective Agency, who worked with Maddie Hayes played by Cybill Shepherd. :D

His character name on the show was David Addison, but I can't remember if he was ever called Bruno. I didn't really watch that show back then unless my mom had it on, but I think I remember him singing a little on it. It would be pretty neat if they released whole seasons of it on DVD though...for some good 'ol memories. 8)

It was better than Don Johnson singing "Heartbeat!" :-/
