Subject: PBS shows creepy and not

???Man I loved the PBS shows of the 80's.  I have to agree though that the 70's logo scared the cr*p out of me too!  It was like the eyes were souless.  The old emergency broadcast sounds and still screen were freaky too.  In both cases I curled up into a ball until the sounds and pictures were gone (ok I was wierd).  Anyway, there are three shows I am trying desperately to remember.

#1. A guy always wore a stretch suit that had the human muscle structure drawn on it..

#2. There was a lady and I swear her name was Norma McDaniels and she had a health show for kids teaching them about brushing your teeth and your bones, but I can't remember it's name

#3. Was there not a show called "Inside-Out" where you learned all sorts of stuff like growing up and such?

Thanks all!  Take care!
Bill

#2-Maybe you're thinking about a show called "All About You", hosted by Louise McNamara.  She had a short haircut and wore shirts with really big collars (well, just about everyone from the 70's wore those kind of shirts! LOL!!).  It dealt with anatomy, biology, and nutrition.

Yes thank you Dagwood and lorac614!  I can almost clear my brain now!  Just need the third one answered!  Man Slim Goodbody creeped me out too.

Ok here's another one...I remember a show where all the parts were played by teenagers including the parents! (not degrassi).  It may have been Canadian though.  What's the name of that one?

I used to watch this same line up on snow days. It seemed like the best shows were on during school hours. My favorite was the one with the guy who read a story and illustrated it on a big sketch pad while he was reading ... Was Norma McDaniels the hippy who did calestetics at the beginning of her show with the three 70's kids behind her?

You're thinking of "The Perkins Family" where the cast was entirely made up of children and teens. It was an experimental soap opera for kids, and was written by kids. In my English class, we used to get those Scholastic Book catalogs, and I rememeber that the show was looking for submissions for story ideas, but I never got around to sending one in. Lasted about 12 shows, but I must say it was well written. But this show was shown in the 90's.
