How have your favorite tv, film and music stars changed (in terms of career paths) since the 1980's? I thought this might be kind of interesting to explore.
Just to give you an example:

Now - Oscar-nominated film star of Pirates of the Caribbean
Then - cute cop on 21 Jump Street
Carmen Electra
Now - star of Starsky & Hutch movie, MTV reality series Carmen & Dave
Then - high school student going by her real name Tara Leigh Patrick

Speaking of Carmen Electra...she called in to have a radio interview with a local radio station here in Houston and when they asked her is she had seen the "true hollywood story" about her...she said "oh look our times up and hung up on them. It was weird..and everyone started calling in saying how rude she was.

Now-An actor who is actually addicted to drugs.
It has been painful to see someone with such talent have so many problems with drugs. I hope he can stay clean this time around.

Then---A silly comedic actor known for cheesy roles in films like Bachelor Party Big, Splash, Turner and Hooch, The Burbs, and that goofy TV show Bossom Buddies.
Now---A very well respected serious actor that has won 2 back to back Oscars, which was already 10 years ago. Today he's often compared to Jimmy Stewart. (It was unthinkable to think of Tom Hanks as anything but a screwball comic back in the 80's)

Then: The "old peoples" channel. VH1 was what your parnets or teachers watched if they wanted to reminisce about stuff from 15 to 20-30 years ago like Elvis, the Beatles, or Woodstock.
Now: Ummm......, it's still the old peoples channel. Except now they play stuff from the 80's, and even the early 1990's. (1984 was 20 years ago, man I still think "20 years ago" means Woodstock or hippies)
