Subject: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
:)
Hey, whatever happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
They should soooooooo do a VH1 Behind The Music on them.
Does anyone know any of their names?
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I remember running home every day and watching Toronto Rocks on channel 47 with John Mahjor. One of the only reasons being were the ZZ Top girls.
I mention the station and the show, seeing as Stacy seems to be from here as well.
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I used to love 'Toronto Rocks' as well.
Remember when it was some rock stars' b-day John Major used to show all the giant b-day cards that fans sent in?
I went down for Nick Rhodes' 21st b-day to present my homemade card. There were at least 20 other girls there.
:)
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I don't remember that episode in particular, but I remember "Is there something I should know" being #1 for a VERY long time.
Is John Mahjor still around? I know he's not on the Toronto air-waves at all. I think he used to be on CHUM either AM or FM.
Help me out here.
P.S. I was at he D2 concert that "The Relex" was shot at.
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I know they caught up with some of the gals from the Robert Palmer (R.I.P.) "Addicted to Love" video on "I Love the '80s." It might be a fun assignment to track down some of those ZZ TOP models, for a "where are they now."
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Ok......
There's our project for tonight. Let's find the ZZ Top's girls names.
And no using our sisters names or anything like that!

Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
They must've appeared in the video "Legs" & Sharp Dressed Man? Am I right? ;D

Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Howard,
I would say you're right...................
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
They had legs and they knew how to use them. ;)
They also had some rockin'/sexy outfits. 8)
P.S. I have no clue as to whatever happened to them either.
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I thought the ZZ Top girls were the guy's wives? Maybe I heard wrong. ???
Great videos, though. I have a couple of them on computer. Plus they have some funny titled songs: "TV Dinners", "Tube Steak Boogie" ;D and "Pearl Necklace" ;D
Oh my. I gotta get a monitor with a de-fogger on it. It gets a bit steamed up. ;)

"TV Dinners" is an awesome video (even though those groovy ZZ Top Girls aren't in it). The song really rocks, & it has that really weird green creature lurking in a TV Dinner! 8)

Tube Steak & Pearl Necklace reminds me of something... ;D :-X

There are always hundreds of skinny, blonde actress/models looking for work. A ZZ Top video was not a bad gig! The band might not even remember the names of those models. Maybe you could track down the production company who made the videos, they might point you in the right direction.
ZZ Top, that "little band from Texas," was invited to the Bush inauguration bash. I don't know if they serenaded Laura Bush with Tube Steak Boogie or Pearl Necklace!

Maybe because that is EXACTLY what the songs were about :P
And don't forget TUSH
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Don't forget "Slippin', slidin' sleepingbag"
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Tush TubeSteakSleeping Bag?
They all sound kinda naughty. ;D

Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Yeah.. I guess we should be questioning the thinking of band members consisting of old men in trenchcoats, beards and sunglasses! :D
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
Where does the band's name come from?
I've heard:
1. it's a tribute to bluesman Z.Z. Hill.
2. they wanted to be noticeably last on every roster
3. a ZZ top is something they use in carpentry (?)
I've never heard anything conclusive...

I can tell you that in the "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and Sharp Dressed Man" videos, the girl with the long blonde hair was Kim Herrin (?spelling). She and the girl with the darker bonde hair were former PLayboy playmates. I wish I could remember her name too. The other girl with lighter blonde hair I never found out who she was. Good luck!!
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I found out that the dark haired girl is Jeana Tomasina. She was a Playmate (1980) and she was in some forgettable movies (Up The Creek, Double Exposure)
I couldn't find anything on Kim Herrin, so I guess we don't have the right spelling.
Too bad!

Don't forget their early classic "La Grange", a thinly-veiled hommage to the "Chicken Shack" bordello in La Grange, Texas.
It seems that the ZZ Top boys have a one-track mind.
...But even though you kinda knew what they were singing about, the lyrics were not vulgar or explicit like today's rap cr@p is...
;D

She's listed in imdb.com as Kymberly Herrin. Here's the link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0380641/
Her movies did better than Jeana, as she was in Ghost Busters, Road House, Beverly Cops 2, and Romancing the Stone.
Kym was March 1981 Playboy Playmate of the Month. ;D

I once heard Hef claim that being a Playboy Playmate was a stepping stone to a great career. At least in showbiz, few seem to go very far. One, Terri Wiegel, or whatever her name is, went into pornography. I don't think Hef approved, as the Playboy world fancies itself as classier than that. Many seem to have short lived modeling careers, or get some "bimbo" roles in Hollywood.
There was a great article about Bob Guccione in a recent issue of Rolling Stone. He's bankrupt and Penthouse is on its last legs. Some financier bought him out to exploit the Penthouse name, and did Guccione the favor of buying his Manhattan palace before the bank foreclosed on it. Guccione now rents the place for a buck a year, but for how long? He's in his 70s, and in bad health.

Jenna Elfman was a ZZ Top girl, as revealed during an interview on the Tonight Show or one of the other late night shows. She became a scientologist and went on to star in "Dharma and Greg." She's was recently in that awful Warner Bros. big screen cartoon and did voiceover work in "Finding Nemo."
Subject: Re: What happened to the ZZ Top Girls?
I don't remember Jenna Elfman being in any ZZ Top videos? Which one?
I do know that she was in a Depeche Mode video, dancing with some circus performer types. 'Halo' I think.
