Remember the '80s cereal that had a Tarzan-like character saying "Ayumma yumma"?  Was that called "Fruit Island"?

There is Toasted Wheat and Raisins and also Fruit Wheats (both made by the shredded wheat people). They came into existence between 1941-1993. I hope that helps.  :)

Everytime I go buy groceries I see different colored....spastic shaped berries in Captain Crunch.  I'm sure they probably have the original taste...but the fact that they're not RED bothers the hell out of me.   :'(

I have issues...yes... I know this.... ;D

Does anyone remember a cereal from the late 80's that changed color once you poured milk on it? It came out in the late 80's and was only around for a year or so.

My little brother loved the stuff, I thought it was sooo gross.

It was bad enough that most of the sweetened cereals left that greasy grit residue at the bottom of the bowl...with this stuff it changed color while it grossed you out too! :P

Golden Grahams.  It was tasty, but better by the handful out of the box.  It turned to mush after 30 seconds in milk.

Yes I remember this cereal.  I believe Quaker put it out.  There were different ones.  I belive they may have had blueberry, strawberry, and possibly apple.  I enjoyed this cereal.  I want to say they were called Fruit Squares but I can't be certain.

The best cereals of the 80's were definitely S.W Grahams. They were like mini wheats but way better!! Also Circus Fun, and it's commercial:
circus fun right in your bowl and you're gonna want to go flyin' for horses, hoops, balls and bears, elephants and lions, yes, horses, hoops, balls and bears, elephants and lions.
